Photography for the Days in Love

Wow. I'm humbled that you are considering me to photograph some of the most important moments of your life. I prefer using natural light for my photography, and my style borders photojournalism and what I call, soft authenticity. I don't over-edit in my work and I don't over-stress my clients; photo sessions are meant to capture the joy in your life, so let's have some fun and create some great memories together.

Capturing the Proposal

Do you future fiancee a favor and hire a professional to capture the event (even if it's not me). I promise you, they will thank you for it later.

Proposals are one of my favorite events to photograph because the anticipation before and celebration after are like no other. The average proposal lasts less than 10 seconds and such a life-changing event should not go undocumented. Share your proposal in style by celebrating the announcement on social media with professional photos taken during the proposal, not just the ones your family takes with their iPhone.

The specifics: I collaborate with the family or the lucky one popping the question to ensure every moment is captured just how they would want it to be.

The Proposal Session Process

First, get in touch with me to share a little bit about yourself and your love story. Once we connect we can schedule a call so you can share the details about your proposal (if there is a set date, time or location). If you don't have these details nailed down yet, no worries! We will walk through the plan together and coordinate the particulars to make sure the proposal is planned perfectly.

The Day of the Proposal

Depending on the specifics (if family or friends are involved), I will coordinate with the necessary people on the day of the proposal to confirm the location, time and to position myself accordingly to get the shots we need to fully capture the event. After they say yes(!), I photograph the celebration with family or friends and will also capture your first photos as an engaged couple. A deposit is not required. After the proposal session is complete you will pay the full amount by check (made out to Abby Long) or cash.

The Proposal Images

I always recommend the couple and people involved with the proposal to be social media silent until the couple shares their social announcement. Enjoy this special time with your new fiancee, friends and family. Proposals are best announced when there's pictures included in the social media updates.

Within hours (literally!), I will edit and prepare your photos for delivery. I will email or Dropbox the photos from the proposal to you so you can share the images with friends and family on social media to officially announce the proposal.

Celebrating the Engagement

Congratulations you're engaged! Let's celebrate with a photography session together.

The Engagement Session Process

First, get in touch with me to share a little bit about yourself and your love story. Once we connect we can schedule a call so you can share the details about your engagement and when and where you'd like to have your photos taken.

By scheduling an engagement session, we can travel to up to 2 locations during your session and I do not have a pose or outfit limit.

Depending on how far out the session is schedule, I will connect with you a week before the session to confirm our appointment.

The Day of the Session

Most engagement sessions have a 2 location limit, but no outfit or photo limit. Meaning, that we can travel to up to 2 locations during your session and you can change outfits as many times as you'd like. Most clients receive closer to 50-75 photos from the session since I do not have a pose or outfit limit.

* If there is a chance for bad weather I will connect with you at least 24 hours before the session appointment to touch base or discuss a Plan B. In the event of inclement weather on the day of your session, we will connect to reschedule for no additional fee.
